JOHNNY THUNDERS

IMPORTANT. When you click the BUY button you go to the page at Lulu.com where you can buy the book selected. You have to register with them before you can buy. If you live outside of the UK or US (where their main printers are) only use their economy mail. Similarly, if you live in the UK or US stick with the flat rate mail service. To make savings on postage I can only say buy more than one book, as it works out well that way. An easy way to buy various books is to use http://stores.lulu.com/mickmercer as the main guide and backspace to it regularly.

116 pages, 127 photos all from 1983, with a few posed, but mainly live shots from the Lyceum. Johnny Thunders (R.I.P.) was a classic performer, sometimes inspiring and incisive, sometimes a dejected, almost risible mess. This books shows him a bit worse for wear when trying hard to do what was asked of him for a photo session, but in the main part gloriously relaxed at a 1983 Lyceum show, totally cool, and enjoying some onstage interplay with Pat Paladin – Johnny at his very best, which is how he should be remembered. Some of the photos are a bit rough, some wonderful – I included everything as I’m sure fans want it all.
